He sees an opportunity and wants to seize it, he doesn't know that Daniel isn't that powerful bc he discovered his powers literally 30 mins ago. BUT he offers the heist bc he is so overwhelmed after what happened, he just wants to help Sean and Daniel / or even want them to stay together because he feels this whole situation is so unfair (and he is right). He forgets words when he is around Sean, he can't control pet names and bombs him with flirting. And after reading that I think we should differ between being an idiot (in love) and being emotional, and caring, and loving. I read one tumblr post that made me really think about calling Finn stupid. I think the developers said that the reason you can only romance him if you agree to the heist is because they didn’t want him to betray Sean after he was romanced, but they had to have Finn do the heist because it made sense for his character. When you see him in the hospital he is so genuinely sorry for everything he’s done. But obviously Finn never really knows what hes doing. He thought Meryl was an asshole that took advantage of his workers and was a dick to the people he cared about and he wouldn’t stand for it and wanted revenge. but because he saw himself in Daniel and treated him like one of the adults. He really didn’t want to put Daniel in danger, and he thought that everything would work out and be fine. He saw himself in Daniel as the youngest sibling, he listened to him and treated him as an equal. he really just wanted everyone to be happy and comfortable. He probably did think he could pull it off and they could all run away together and live his Costa Rica dream. I think Finn did really care for Sean a lot and genuinely wanted to help him.
